The Bunny
Feb 26, 2021
At the baby shower, my friends gave me a blue and white stuffed bunny. When my daughter was born, he waited in her crib. She held him all time during the years to come.
One day, the bunny got dirty in the playground. We washed him.
“No, mom, no! The washer will yank his eyes and ears.”
She clung to the washer as the bunny spun. It survived the washer and three dries.
When my daughter went to college, she left the bunny on my bed with a note: “No washing torture, please.”
